HOW BATANA OIL IS PROCESSED
Batana Oil fruit resembles the fruit of African Palm Oil fruit, having an orange outer skin and kernel in the inside.
The processing of Batana Oil is also similar to how palm oil and palm kernel oil is processed in Africa.
Below is the process of how Batana Oil is made:
- Batana Palm fruits are boiled until soft, and then pounded with mortar to separate outer shell is removed to get to the nuts.
- The nuts are washed, sun-dried and cracked open with stones to release the kernels inside.

- The kernels are then ground into a fine paste, to which some carrier oil such as Jojoba or Coconut is added.
- This mixture is then heated over low temperature, to enable the Batana seeds properly infuse into that carrier oil.
- Next, this mixture is allowed to cool, and later strained, and stored in containers.
