These Terms apply when you use elsieorganics.com (the “Site”) or buy from Elsie Organics (“we”, “us”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who can order
You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. Our products
- We sell cosmetic raw materials, oils, butters, botanical powders and other ingredients. Many are raw materials, not finished products.
- We describe and photograph products as accurately as we can, but colour, texture and appearance can vary between batches and screens.
- You are responsible for using products safely and as directed, for doing your own testing, and for following the laws and regulations that apply to anything you make or sell.
- Information on our website and blog is general and educational. It is not medical advice.
- Products are subject to availability, and prices and product information can change. We may correct errors, including after you order. If we cancel an order because of an error or lack of stock, we will refund you in full.
3. Ordering and payment
- Prices are in Nigerian naira (₦). The delivery cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
- You can pay by bank transfer, card, USSD or Opay. Card payments are processed by Paystack. We do not offer pay on delivery.
- Your order is confirmed once we receive your payment. For bank transfers, send us your proof of payment, order number and the depositor’s name.
- We may refuse or cancel an order, for example where we suspect fraud, cannot verify a payment, or there is an error. If you have paid, we will refund you.
- You do not need an account to order.
4. Shipping & Delivery
Our delivery options, timelines, fees, fulfilment practices and payment methods are set out in our Shipping Policy & Payment Methods, which forms part of these Terms. By accepting these Terms, you also accept that policy. If the two conflict on a shipping or delivery matter, the Shipping Policy & Payment Methods applies.
By placing an order, you agree that:
- Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by shippers, motor parks, customs, weather or other events outside our control.
- You must give us a correct and complete delivery address and an active phone number. We cannot change an address once your order has shipped, and extra shipping or re-delivery costs may apply to you if a delivery fails because of a wrong or incomplete address or a refused delivery.
- Park delivery is informal and has no tracking. Delivery is complete when your parcel arrives at the park you chose. Storage and demurrage fees, and any loss or damage after arrival, are your responsibility, as set out in the policy.
- International customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes and tariffs, and for confirming that their items may lawfully enter their country. We are not responsible for shipments held, stopped or refused entry by customs, to the extent the law allows.
5. Returns, refunds and problems with your order
Our Return & Refund Policy applies to every order. In short, we do not accept change-of-mind returns, and any damaged, defective or incorrect item must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or collection. If these Terms conflict with that policy, the policy applies.
6. Your account (optional)
If you create an account, keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
7. Reviews and messages you send us
Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. By submitting a review or message, you allow us to display and use it on our Site and marketing, without payment to you. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading.
8. Our content
The Site’s text, photos, logos and design belong to us or are licensed to us. You may not copy, reuse or sell them without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use the Site for anything unlawful, try to interfere with or break into it, or copy its content by automated means.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under Nigerian consumer protection law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss of profits or other indirect losses, for delays or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as shipper or motor park delays, customs, weather or strikes), or for harm caused by using a product against its instructions or applicable law. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date shows the latest version. Your order is governed by the Terms in force when you placed it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, disputes may be brought in the courts of Nigeria.
