Peppermint Oil vs Peppermint Essential Oil: What’s the Difference?

Both peppermint oil and the essential oil are derived from peppermint plant. Each type of oil is extracted differently, and from different parts of the plant.

Peppermint Essential Oil is extracted through steam distillation of the different parts of the Peppermint Plant (the leaves, flowers, barks, and roots), making Peppermint Essential oil to be more concentrated with the compounds contained in the Peppermint plant.

On the other hand, Peppermint Oil is extracted through infusion, usually of the leaves of Peppermint Plant. However, both types of oil are potent.
