Description

Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol derived from natural oils that acts as an emollient, thickener, and stabilizer in skincare and haircare products.

It’s basically a waxy mixture of Cetyl and Stearyl alcohol, usually derived from coconut oil or palm oil.

This waxy ingredient helps soften the skin, thicken creams/ lotions, and helps blend oil with water in lotions and conditioners.

Chemical composition: A mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol.

Derived From: Naturally derived from Palm oil and coconut oil Cetearyl Alcohol is also synthetically mass-produced in labs from a combination of Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol.

Usage Rate: 0.5% to 10%, up to 25%.
