Decyl Glucoside is a mild surfactant or cleansing/ foaming agent is an ingredient commonly used in making foaming cleansing personal-care products including baby shampoo, body washes and cleansers for sensitive skin. It is derived from plants plant and gentle for all skin and hair types.

Derived From: Coconut, plant-based fatty acids of vegetable oils
Appearance: Viscous Liquid; Comes in clear to light yellow to amber/ maize-yellow
Texture: Slippery like soap
Smell: Mild odour; has a characteristic detergent smell
Solubility: Water-soluble
Usage Rate: 4 to 40%
Storage: Store in a tightly sealed container, away from heat and cold
Shelf Life: 24 Months when properly stored

- Decyl Glucoside is easily thickened with: xanthan gum 10 to 0.3%, carbomer 940 10 to 0.5%, non-ionic surfactants, natural or synthetic polymers
- Can either be used as the main/ primary surfactant or as a secondary/ co-surfactant during formulation of cleansing products
