Deoxyarbutin or D-Arbutin is a Tyrosinase Inhibitor and skin lightening agent that is more effective , than Alpha Arbutin, Arbutin, Kojic Acid, and Hydroquinone.

Ingredient Function: Skin lightening/ brightening, Tyrosinase Inhibitor, Dark spot fading.
Derived from: Hydroquinone
Appearance: White to off-white/ beige crystalline powder
Smell: Odorless
Solubility: Deoxyarbutin soluble in oil and also soluble in glycols and Ethanol.
Ingredient pH: 5.0-7.0
Suggested Use Level: 0.1–2%
Storage: Store in a cool, dark and dey place, in an airtight, sealed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture. *Ensure to tightly close the container after each use to avoid moisture exposure.
For long term storage, store Deoxy Arbutin powder in a low temperature environment, preferably in a refrigerator or freezer.
Shelf life: 24 months when properly stored.
Applications: Deoxy Arbutin is found as an ingredient in toners and serums, lotions and creams, face masks and other products targeting brightening and evening of skin tone.
Formulation Guide/ Notes
Usage Rate: 0.5-2%
How to Dissolve: Mix Deoxy Arbutin in heated oil below 60 °C (ideally between 50-60 °C).
Incorporation Phase: Add to the cool-down phase of your Formulation to prevent degradation of Deoxy Arbutin.
Heat Resistance/ Temperature: Add Deoxy Arbutin at a temperatures below 40°C (104°F) during Formulation.
*Deoxy Arbutin is heat-sensitive, as high temperature can degrade the ingredient and reduce its efficacy.
pH Range: Deoxy Arbutin is most stable and effective in formulations within a pH range of 5.0–5 8
Improving Stability: 0.1% Vitamin E can be added as an antioxidant to improve stability of Deoxy Arbutin in your formulation.
