What is DHT and How it Blocks Hair Growth
What’s DHT? Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a type of hormone found in both men and women, with men naturally having a higher DHT level than women. Excess DHT at the hair follicles is known to cause hair loss in men an women (including thinning hair, alopecia and male pattern baldness).
High levels of DHT hormones is known to trigger hair loss in men and women, causing alopecia and male pattern baldness. However not all hair loss is caused by excess DHT. DHT blockers are effective at stopping hair loss by stopping the build-up of excess DHT in the scalp. The Ayurvedic herbs in this hair tea help contain natural DHT blockers that help block DHT, in order to prevent and stop hair loss, regrow hair and promote hair growth.
DHT prevents/ blocks nutrients from getting absorbed by your hair follicles. This in turn blocks hair growth. DHT-blocking foods and natural ingredients such as green tea, flax seeds, turmeric, coconut oil, avocado, mango, spinach, onions, tomato, blueberries and others, naturally help to reduce DHT levels in the scalp. DHT blockers helps hair-growth nutrients get to the hair follicles, to to minimize hair loss/ fall and regrow the hair.
What Too Much DHT Does in Women: Women with high levels of DHT are likely to have facial hair and excess pubic hair growth (called hirsutism), irregular or stoppage of periods (menstruation) and lots of pimples/ acne, and sometimes abnormal changes to the genitalia. Excess DHT in the scalp is known to cause hair loss in both men and women.
What Too Much DHT Does in Men: Excess DHT levels in the scalp can cause shrinkage of the hair follicles and shortening of the hair growth cycle, which in turn leads to hair loss and baldness in men. High DHT in the scalp also causes the hair to fall off fast, grow out slower, thinner and weaker.
