Olive Squalane can be substituted with:

• Fractionated coconut oil
• MCT Oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides).

Olive Squalane is a non-greasy, lightweight, fast-absorbing emollient derived from Olives (plant). It’s a kind of dry oil that helps keep the skin hydrated without leaving it looking oily.  It acts as a lightweight, non-oxidizing emollient and skin-mimicking lipid, rather than an ester emollient like jojoba esters.

Olive squalane is produced by extracting squalene from olive oil refining by-products and then hydrogenating it (adding hydrogen) to turn the unstable, double-bond-heavy squalene into a stable, saturated squalane.
