Common Uses of Baking Soda

pH Buffer: Baking Soda is used to adjust pH level of cosmetic formulations. As an alkaline, Baking Soda is used to raise the pH of a formulation to a desired level.

Bath Bomb Ingredient: It is the main ingredient in bath bombs. Baking Soda (or Sodium Bicarbonate) is what makes Bath Bombs make the fizzing reaction when it comes in contact with water;

Deodorant ingredient: Baking Soda is also used as an ingredient in DIY deodorants.

Teeth Whitening: Baking soda is used as an ingredient in DIY teeth-whitening products, and can also be found in some commercial teeth whitening toothpastes.

Household Cleaning Ingredient: Baking Soda is commonly used in home cleaning and laundry. It helps remove tough stains and grease; cleans mildew from bathrooms, cookers and pots.

Odour Neutralizer: Baking Soda is used at homes to eliminate odors in the fridge, microwaves, ovens, toilets and more.
