Description
Optiphen Plus is an effective, broad-spectrum preservative, offering an effective protection against the growth of bacteria, yeast and mold. . It is free of paraben and formaldehyde.
INCI Name: Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid
Form: Liquid
Appearance: Clear, light yellow to dark yellow colour
Solubility: Water-soluble
Usage Rate: 0.75 – 1.5%; 0.5% for preservation of simple surfactant products.
PH it’s Effective In Formulations: Lower pH, below 6.
Compatibility: Optiphen Plus is not compatible with polysorbate 80 or Olivem 300 emulsifiers.
Formulation Notes:
- Add during or after the emulsification stage of your formulation
- Add at or below 80°C
- Adjust to final pH below 6
